PAST PROJECTS

TRACES IN MATTER

Sofia / Paris 2016 – 2020
Collaboration with Albena Dimitrova (writer) and Mina Angela Ignatova
(photographer, filmmaker). Conducted a long-term material research project in collaboration with a 200 year old French textile factory Toiles de Mayenne, which granted access to historic fabric archives and designs. Explored the relationship between heritage materials and contemporary expression, studying how tactile memory and historical texture can inspire new aesthetics in sustainable fashion. This project became the foundation for the development of my own design language, emphasizing material authenticity, transformation, and hybrid craft techniques that
evolved into my work.

Practiced seven years in the creative departments of international advertising agencies, Sofia, Bulgaria 2004 – 2011, gaining experience in visual communication, art direction, and brand storytelling. Developed skills in graphic design, media strategy, and cross-platform identity, which later shaped my integrated approach to fashion as both a visual and communicative practice. STATEMENT

As a designer and artist, my work stands at the intersection of material ethics, identity, and cultural transformation. I explore how fashion can serve as a medium of reflection, healing, and philosophicalinquiry rather than consumption, bridging the digital and material worlds through sustainable, hand-based and ethically conscious design.
