BIO

Antonia Tochka is an artist-activist who manifests herself in several forms and has an inexhaustible creative impulse. A painter, fashion, set, and costume designer who loves to explore and express inner worlds through vision and form. The projects made by Antonia Tochka are visual identities that tell stories, bringing together past and present, combining sensations and memories, and transforming each garment into a mantle, a shell with deep inner meaning and outer reflections.

“I believe art and fashion are a powerful language for self-discovery and healing, which is why each of my works carries a personal story and essence. In my work METASELF, I seek the balance between the inner and the outer, between the real and the mythological, creating unique visual worlds in which personal identity can be explored and transformed. I enjoy sharing my creativity and building bridges between myself and the world through color, form, words, and texture. I love to speak the truth in all aspects of my life and work. This can be compared to an emergency operation; no one likes the truth, everyone tries to avoid it or delay it, but it is inevitable. As an artist, I am obliged to be a conductor only of the truth, no matter how difficult and unnecessary it may seem to humanity lately.”

“The photography on this page was created by a professional selfie-taker. In the frame is me, wearing a kimono that I created just before taking the picture. I made the kimono for the video clip of my friend and talented vocalist and songwriter Tatyana Yosifova. I created all the costumes specifically for the entire work.
